Pronunciation is good and he sings it with a lot of passion. Roopkumar sings it beautifully, and you won't even realise he doesn't know tamil, when you hear the song. This is the only song she's written the rest are written by Valee. I also think it was the first time a lady wrote lyrics in a Tamil movie. This was the first song Thamarai wrote lyrics for, I believe. Since I expect a lot of you would want to hum along, I'm going to give the lyrics and translation of the song. I don't know what the song means in Hindi but it's pretty nice in Tamil.
